Arrival Alternatives
A. St. Thomas with Pick up in Red Hook:
At the St. Thomas airport pick up a cab and drive to the American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. The cab ride should be about $9/person if you have more than two people in the cab. Go to the Marina office and ask where the Big Chill is docked. We will be keeping an eye out for you. (C or D dock)
B. St. Thomas with pickup in Nanny Cay:
At the St. Thomas airport have a cab take you to the Ferry dock in Charlotte Amalie. There you will buy a one way ticket (about $22) to the West End, Tortola. This provides more flexibility on return times. When you arrive at Tortola you will clear through customs and pick up a cab to take you to Nanny Cay. Have the driver take you to the Catamaran Charter headquarters and we will meet you there. The boat will probably be on C dock.
C. St. Thomas with pickup in West End, Tortola:

When you arrive at Tortola you will clear through customs and we will meet you at the customs building. We will take you to the boat by dinghy.
D. St. Thomas with pickup in Cruz Bay, St. John:
At the St. Thomas airport pick up a cab and drive to the Ferry Dock in Red Hook. The cab ride should be about $9/person if you have more than two people in the cab. Purchase a ticket ($3.00 per person) to travel to Cruz Bay on St. John. We will meet you at the Ferry Dock.
E. Beef Island Tortolla, BVI
We can meet you in Trellis Bay and begin your vacation there or you can taxi down to Nanny Cay and we can start your vacation there. This gets you into the BVI's quicker than the other altenatives but flying in here is sometimes more expensive than arriving in St. Thomas.
We will decide on the above choices based on your arrival times and what will work best from a logistic stand point.
We recommend that for the best rates on flying to the Islands you call Caribbean Travel Network at 800-327-5540 Tell them you are chartering with Sail and Anchor, reference no. 1121.
IDENTIFICATION
The best form of identification to go through customs is your passport. You may also use your original birth certificate or a certified copy but these require additional identification of a drivers license with picture.
MONEY
Currency in the islands is the US dollar. Most places you will visit will also take credit cards but there are situations that cash is needed.
Estimate that dinners ashore will average about $30 per person (that can change based on drinks). There are plenty of nice shops for clothes and other merchandise.
